Agreement

By downloading or using AddressGuard for Bitcoin ("AddressGuard"), published by SideEye Labs Pte. Ltd. ("SideEye Labs", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

No Liability For Loss of Funds

Bitcoin and Lightning payments are irreversible. AddressGuard performs a local format and checksum comparison only — it cannot detect fraud, malware, social engineering, wrong-chain sends, or user error, and it cannot guarantee that a payment target is safe to pay.

SideEye Labs accepts no liability and no responsibility for any loss of funds, missent payment, or other financial loss arising from your use of AddressGuard — including where the app reported a match, a "SAFE" result, or no warning. You use AddressGuard entirely at your own risk, and you remain solely responsible for verifying a payment target before you send.

What AddressGuard Is — And Isn't

AddressGuard is a local verification utility for on-chain BTC addresses, Lightning invoices, Lightning Addresses, and LNURLs. It is not a wallet, does not hold or move funds, and nothing in the app constitutes financial, investment, or legal advice.

License

SideEye Labs grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, non-commercial license to use AddressGuard on Apple devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and Apple's App Store Terms of Service.

This license does not permit you to:

  • Sublicense, sell, resell, transfer, or otherwise commercially exploit the app
  • Modify, copy, or create derivative works based on the app
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app

In-App Purchases

AddressGuard Bitcoin Pro is available as a one-time lifetime unlock, sold and billed entirely through Apple's App Store. Purchases are final and non-refundable except as required by applicable law or Apple's refund policies. An annual subscription was previously offered and is no longer available for new purchases; customers who already subscribed keep their Pro entitlement and can manage or cancel it via Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on their device.

Disclaimers

AddressGuard is provided "as is" and "as available", without any warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. SideEye Labs does not warrant that AddressGuard will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SideEye Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of funds — arising from your use of, or inability to use, AddressGuard.

Governing Law

These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page when changes are made.
