AddressGuard Crypto
Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 28, 2026
The Short Version
AddressGuard Crypto makes no network calls of its own. Nothing you paste, scan, save, or verify ever leaves your device. We don't have a server, because the app doesn't talk to one. The only network traffic on the device comes from Apple's StoreKit, which handles the optional Pro purchase and never sees your verification data.
What We Collect
Nothing. AddressGuard Crypto collects no data of any kind, from anyone, ever.
- No account, no login, no profile.
- No analytics SDK.
- No crash-reporting SDK.
- No advertising SDK or advertising identifier.
- No third-party SDK of any kind.
What Stays On Your Device
AddressGuard Crypto may store the following locally, on your device only, never transmitted:
- Destination addresses you paste or scan for verification, across supported chains (EVM, Bitcoin, Tron, Litecoin, Dogecoin, Bitcoin Cash, Cardano, XRP, Stellar, Solana, Cosmos-style)
- Destinations you choose to save locally, including asset, network, variant, and destination type
- Optional local verification receipts/history, if you leave history logging enabled
- Files you explicitly export or share yourself
This data never leaves your device unless you personally choose to export or share it. We have no way to see it, because we have no server for it to go to.
No Liability For Loss of Funds
Crypto transfers are irreversible. AddressGuard Crypto performs local format, network, and memo/tag checks only — it cannot detect fraud, malware, social engineering, exchange-side misconfiguration, or user error, and it cannot guarantee that a destination is safe to send to.
SideEye Labs accepts no liability and no responsibility for any loss of funds, missent transfer, or other financial loss arising from your use of AddressGuard Crypto — including where the app reported a match, a "PASS" result, or no warning. You use AddressGuard Crypto entirely at your own risk, and you remain solely responsible for verifying a destination before you send. Full terms: Terms of Use.
Third-Party Services
None. AddressGuard Crypto does not use any third-party analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or cloud service.
Children's Privacy
AddressGuard Crypto does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children, because it does not collect data from anyone.
Changes To This Policy
If this ever changes — for example, if a future version adds an optional, clearly-disclosed network feature — this policy will be updated first, and any such feature will default to off.
